  • 'Smoldering [Cigs]'

Pulling into the grocery store today, some dude in his pickup truck cut me off and tossed his ciga tte bt out the window under the hood of my car. The lot was mostly full, so he pulled into one of the curbside
  • only slots and then walked inside. Every slot had a warning that anyone not curbside would be towed. So of course I circled around and called the towing
  • number. As much as I wanted to, I figured it probably wasn't a good idea to stick around to see his reaction.
  • I also picked his ciga tte bt up and shoved it back through his cracked window onto the driver seat, just in case he made it out of the store before they showed up.
  • Honestly, it wasn't being cut off that issed me off. It was the litter.
  • nasadowsk I once was on the Garden State Parkway (NJ). Stop/go traffic, guy near me tosses a bot out the window. About 1/2 a millisecond later, the
  • voice of god tells "pick up the cig NOW!!!" The guy hesitated, and on went the lights. Finally, a issed off cop right when/where you needed him.
  • Chainsaw_59 Was meeting my brother and his friends at the lake one summer and they were about an hour late when they started the drive right behind us. One of them threw a cup out the window and got pulled over for littering. Officer wrote down their names and addresses and handed them garbage bags and told them to fill them up or they'd all get the tickets. Had them leave the
  • bags next to the sign that said "$200 Fine for Littering". Funniest part is I saw the bags on the way home. Occasionally saw bags near that sign all summer on my way to the lake.

  • aquainst1 That kinda happened to a good friend of ours, our optometrist, who was a smoker. He got pulled over by a motorcycle officer for speeding, and as the officer was explaining the ticket to him, Dr. P ed-Off Friend took the ciggie out of his mouth and flicked it onto the pavement from his car window.
  • BAM! Ticket for littering as well!!! You can't MAKE this sh up.
  • Tomcat218 Many years ago, a friend of mine flicked his ciga tte bt out the window. 10 seconds later he was pulled over by a ped off Motorcycle cop, who he had inadvertently hit in the face with that b t. Ticket for littering was issued.
  • alleecmo I read a news article years ago that stuck with me. A lady was driving home from the store with her groceries in the bed of her pickup. Some canoe zoomed past her and tossed their b tout the window. It flew into her groceries and caught them on fire. She pulled over to try to put out the fire, but among her purchases that day was a can of bug spray. It exploded and sent her to the burn ward. THE EARTH IS NOT YOUR ASHTRAY
  • did_i_get_screwed The one time I went to traffic court, the girl before me was there for a littering charge. She told the judge it wasn't fair because it was something small she threw out and $150 was too much of a fine. The judge asked her what she threw out the window and she said "just a little ciga_tte båt."
  • The judge does not hesitate, he says "Charge amended to discarding burning material. Fine is $1,500. Case Closed. See the clerk on your way out" Gavel Slams, girl looks thoroughly confused. I thought I had made a big mistake showing up to his court room, but he dropped my ticket and let me go in peace.
